Newbury Park

Newbury Park was recorded in 1348 and is derived from new and Old English burh, 'manor house'. It therefore means 'the (then) new manor', in the park.

The station was opened as NEWBURY PARK by the Great Eastern Railway on 1 May 1903 and was first used by Underground trains on 14 December 1947.
